Lazy Mom Tip of the Day

Two words: frozen waffles. They are more filling and possibly less expensive than cereal. (I never have done the math officially, but you can buy off-brand boxes of eight for a dollar each, or buy in bulk at Costco and it seems to be less psychologically damaging than buying cereal, but they could be more expensive, so don't take my word for it.) They are easy for your children to get out of the freezer and put in the toaster by themselves. They have vitamins and minerals inside of them. If you are REALLY that uptight about packaged food, you could make your own on a weekend and freeze them yourself. Frozen waffles: nature's way to get you an extra ten minutes of sleep in the morning.

  1. We had waffles this morning. There is a plate full of them in the kitchen that I'll send your way to freeze. For the life of me I can't remember just what I fed my five in the morning when they were growing up. Must have been something as they all made it to adulthood.
