This is how my weekend went down:
Friday night: 10:30 pm Hazel wakes up screaming that her ear hurts. She is up every two hours for the rest of the night.
Saturday morning: Holden wakes up with a face and neck swollen to twice their normal size. I take him to the doctor and am told that despite his impeccable immunization record, he might have mumps.
Saturday night: Ruby wakes up with a high fever and cries all night.
Sunday: I stay home with three sick children, alternately dosing medicine, comforting a miserable baby, getting snacks, and putting on movies. Space Chimps, anyone?
Gotta go sanitize the house before Mumpy passes on his disease to the girls. Is this a result of my bad mothering, or my bad housekeeping? Both, I'm sure. . . . It's both.
oh man, sounds miserable. Max has had a terrible cold the last few days and it's bad enough taking care of 1 sickie, much less 3. I feel for you, mumps mama!
ReplyDeletePoor Pauls.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry!! I wish you were close so I could do something for you.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you come down with lovely lady mumps or if we can antique together.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteUugh, I'm so sorry for you. Hope everyone is on the mend for you.
ReplyDeleteIs this what being in the first grade gives you? Poor Holden - and girls (and mom and dad).
ReplyDeleteMumps!?! Poor Holden - and poor you! I hope Holden feels better soon.
